Known for its innovative identity verification technology, GBG is the top brand in its highly commoditised space. But having added some game-changing new tech to ward off threats from a number of new market challengers, it needed an awareness campaign to reassert its dominance.

Embracing the grey with onboarding intelligence 

Through various product offerings, GBG’s technology replaces the traditional binary ‘black and white’ approach of identity verification to help users make better informed decisions. Our first move was to group these offerings into one clear positioning, creating our campaign insight:
if people’s lives aren’t black and white, identity verification shouldn’t be either.

Get the true measure of every story

Our creative campaign brought this insight to life. We took well known fairytale characters – each seen as either heroes or villains – and measured their identity data with a more nuanced, complex percentage, showing customers how they could use GBG to get the true measure of people at the onboarding stage. The story unfolded across awareness ads, nurture emails, event stand experiences, and a range of full funnel content, creating a campaign that kept the audience turning the page.
